| The
Office of Haryana Livestock Development Board,
nodal agency for implementing the National Project
for Cattle & Buffalo Breeding is currently
functioning from the office of Director, Animal
Husbandry which itself is too congested and
is being accommodated in a rented building.
Keeping in view the facts, HUDA has allotted
1079 Sq. Mtrs. Land in Sector-2 Panchkula for
Rs. 30.54 lacs on account of cost of land.
The contract for the construction of Complex
has been given to M/S Haryana Police Housing
Corporation, Panchkula and Rs. 95.00 lacs has
been deposited with them.

the moment under the Agriculture Human Resources
Development Programme, Haryana Veterinary Training
Institute, is functioning at Hisar. This training
complex has been established with the assistance
of World Bank. Training is one of the mandates
of the Board.
The state of Haryana is well known for its livestock
and the rural women folk play a major role in
the upkeep of animals. To enhance the over all
animals' productivity and bring more prosperity
to its people through livestock, it was felt
that the people especially women be imparted
training of Animal Husbandry techniques at Block
Headquarters.
